The staff members of Club Penguin Rewritten are volunteers who keep the island of Club Penguin Rewritten safe.

There are currently 10 staff members, comprising of: 2 administrators, 2 developers, 5 moderators and 1 artist. There are also 2 discord moderators that are not listed below.

As of July 27, 2020, there are 44 former staff members, excluding former Discord Moderators.

Some of the staff help update the game, design or program new content, write articles for the What's New Blog, and answer questions from the community.

How to Become a Staff Member

Usually, staff members are hired either by applying to apply@cprewritten.net, or being directly handpicked by the administrators themselves. Applications may take several weeks to be read, while handpicking involves the Staff team first discussing on who to hire next.

Most first-time staff would undergo a "trial moderation" period where they will be given the position of Discord Moderator. After some time, they will be given the opportunity to be promoted to Moderator.

Some staff members can hold multiple positions simultaneously.

Current Positions

• Administrators have the highest position on Club Penguin Rewritten. They usually direct the staff team, as well as develop and release updates.
• Artists draw artwork for Club Penguin Rewritten.
• Developers help to program on Club Penguin Rewritten.
• Moderators are in charge of moderating Club Penguin Rewritten and handling tasks such as in-game reports.
• Discord Moderators, also periodically referred to as Junior and Trial Moderators, are also moderators, but they can only moderate the Club Penguin Rewritten Discord Server. They do not have any moderation powers in-game.

Trivia

• There used to be a Staff Leader role, but it was removed due to having little purpose.
• Before the Junior Moderator role was made, there was a Trial Moderator role, which was practically the same role under a different name. Pautemii, Larry, Galvin, and KingDedede were Trial Moderators before being made Moderators.
  • Although neither role is in use today, Discord Moderators are occasionally still referred to as these roles.
