This is the Manual of Style for the Club Penguin Rewritten Wiki.

Key: Correct Incorrect

Grammar

• All articles on the wiki must be written in American English, not British English, unless the game or staff refers to the article as its British name. For example, the game refers to the "Gray Top Hat" as the Grey Top Hat.
• Do not use any slang or abbreviations on articles, unless the official name of an article is abbreviated.
• BluerQ was the first Penguin of the Week on Club Penguin Rewritten
• Bluer was the first POTW on CPR
• The Rooftop is the place to be
• The Rooftop is the place 2 b
• All mentions of game and TV show titles should be italicized. Club Penguin Rewritten and Club Penguin should always be written as Club Penguin Rewritten and Club Penguin respectively. You can italicize by adding at the front and back of the game title. If you use punctuation, it should not be italicized.
• Do not capitalize every word in a sentence. Conjuctions, prepositions and definite articles shouldn't be capitalized either, unless the game capitalizes them.
• Penguin of the Week is every Monday
• Penguin Of The Week Is Every Monday
• Penguin Of The Week is every Monday
• When adding dates in, make sure you use the full date, year included. Also don't include an ordinal indicator.
• May 21, 2018
• May 21
• May 21st, 2018
• 5/21/18
• If something is no longer in Club Penguin Rewritten, remember to change the wording of the article to past tense.
• Make sure to add punctuation at the end of every sentence.
• When using apostrophes, make sure to use ' instead of ’.
• If you have a list of three or more items, make sure to use an oxford comma before the conjunction in the list.

Titles

• Titles should be in singular form, not plural.
• Article titles should always use an official name, not a fan-made one. If you are wondering where to find the official names, see the local crumbs.
• If an article does not have an official title, label it as a Conjecture.
• If two or more articles have the same name, use parenthesis to distinguish them from each other. Make sure to not capitalize the word in the parenthesis, unless its official title is capitalized.

Article layout

Amboxes

• If an article contains an ambox (article message box), it should always be at the top of an article.
• If an article has no infobox, make sure to separate the ambox and the article text into different lines.
Disambig
Lei may refer to many items in Club Penguin Rewritten. Were you looking for:
• If an article is missing information, make sure to label it as a Stub. Do not label an article as a stub if it's just short. Short articles aren't stubs.

• If you feel an article is unneeded, you can label it as Delete. This way an admin can review it and see if it's worthy of being deleted or not.
• If an article does not comply with the Manual of Style and needs a cleanup, label it as Cleanup.
• If an article is too long to finish or is currently undergoing change and an update, label it as Construction.
• If an article contains false information, label it as Inaccurate.
• If an article needs better quality image(s), label it as ImageQuality
• If an item hasn't been available for a year, or doesn't have many owners, mark it as Rare.
• If an item wasn't in the original Club Penguin, label it as Custom.

• If an event of party is currently happening, label it as Current.
• If someone is a current staff member, label them as Mod. If they are a former staff member, label them as OldMod.
• If a character is meetable in-game, label them as a MeetableCharacter. If a character is from a Stage Play, label them as a StageChar. If a character is from a PSA Mission, label them as a PSACharacter. If a character is from a mini-game, label them as a Minigame Character.

• If you are inserting a quote into an article, use this Quote. Make sure it goes below the infobox, but before the article text.

Infoboxes

• Infoboxes should be placed right under amboxes. If an article doesn't contain an ambox, the infobox should be at the top.
• Make sure that every field of an infobox is filled out on an article. If the field is inapplicable put N/A.
• If there are multiple answers in a field, make sure to list them off as commas.
• |appeared = Beta Test Party, Puffle Party 2017, Mountain Expedition 2017
• |appeared = Beta Test Party, Puffle Party 2017 & Mountain Expedition 2017

• Infoboxes should be laid out in order.
• Do not add File: before an image.
• Make sure to put a space the words and the equal sign in the infobox.
• |title1 should only be added to the infobox if the title of article has a parenthesis.
• If an item doesn't have an icon, use this for the image in the infobox.
• Infoboxes should always be laid out like this:
{{ItemInfobox
|image1 = Beta.png

|type = Head Item

|found = None
