This is the Manual of Style for the Club Penguin Rewritten Wiki.

Key: CorrectIncorrect

Grammar

  • All articles on the wiki must be written in American English, not British English, unless the game or staff refers to the article as its British name. For example, the game refers to the "Gray Top Hat" as the Grey Top Hat.
  • Do not use any slang or abbreviations on articles, unless the official name of an article is abbreviated.
    • BluerQ was the first Penguin of the Week on Club Penguin Rewritten
    • Bluer was the first POTW on CPR
    • The Rooftop is the place to be

  • All mentions of game and TV show titles should be italicized. Club Penguin Rewritten and Club Penguin should always be written as Club Penguin Rewritten and Club Penguin respectively. You can italicize by adding '' at the front and back of the game title. If you use punctuation, it should not be italicized.
  • Do not capitalize every word in a sentence. Conjunctions, prepositions and definite articles shouldn't be capitalized either, unless the game capitalizes them.
    • Penguin of the Week is every Monday
    • Penguin Of The Week Is Every Monday
    • Penguin Of The Week is every Monday

  • If something is no longer in Club Penguin Rewritten, remember to change the wording of the article to past tense.
  • Make sure to add punctuation at the end of every sentence.
  • When using apostrophes, make sure to use ' instead of ’.
  • If you have a list of three or more items, make sure to use an oxford comma before the conjunction in the list.

Titles

  • Titles should be in singular form, not plural.
  • Article titles should always use an official name, not a fan-made one. If you are wondering where to find the official names, see the local crumbs.
  • If an article does not have an official title, label it as a {{Conjecture}}.
  • If two or more articles have the same name, use parenthesis to distinguish them from each other. Make sure to not capitalize the word in the parenthesis, unless its official title is capitalized.
